Washington Monument

My earliest memories of the Washington Monument are my mother lifting me up to see out of the windows . The Washington monument was the tallest building in Washington D.C. last time I was there . It honors the first president of the United States he fought in the Revolutionary war .
He was one of our founding fathers he was involved in forming our government he could have become a dictator but he wanted better for our country . He only had step children from he's wife first marriage . He lived at mount Vernon Virginia .My mom had a early memory while visiting it that someone put her a a childs seat
while she was there .
Even though I never knew hardly anybody in my moms family she talked about a great aunt who builded something called the presidential Gardens . With having a grandfather die and mom raised by family she didn't go see I only have 1 or 2 people in my moms family I actually know .
I know her grandfather at one time owned a home on saint george island he agreeed to fix a mans boat but didn't do it os he lost this house . Some branch of the service has that island now mom always talked about fishing for crabs on the island I always wanted ot go there because she liked it so much.
